ABOUT
IT ALL STARTED AT A NEW YORK CHEESE SHOP
Owners Jeff and Alex share a passion for great food and fine dining. A trip with their parents to an iconic cheese shop in Manhattan left a big impression on both boys—Jeff attended culinary school, and Alex went on to be involved in many facets of the restaurant industry. They saw a void in the area for a European style gourmet market, where top notch personal service and the finest quality are the rule, not the exception. They decided to share their passion with their friends and neighbors, and opened Golden Rind Cheese & Wine on November 1, 2019 at 13251 McGregor Blvd. in Fort Myers.
Jeff and Christin, our resident Cheese Engineer, personally curate the extensive selection of unique cheeses. Alex is our unofficial sommelier, beer expert, and front of the house person who will likely greet you upon entering.
Our collective efforts ensure the best cheese and charcuterie selections, along with the perfect wine and beer pairings. Cheese and charcuterie boards are increasingly popular, combining cured meats, artisan breads, artfully paired cheeses and more, to be enjoyed with wines, beers and our fantastic selection of epicurean provisions. It’s a proven fact…CHEESE MAKES PEOPLE HAPPY!

HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE CHARCUTERIE?
Charcuterie, pronounced shaar-KOO-tur-ree, is a French word that literally means “pork butcher.” It is a style of cooking originally devoted to prepared meats like bacon, ham, sausage and pâté sold in delicatessen-style shops called a charcuterie. Charcuterie boards and platters have evolved to include other cured meats beyond pork including beef and poultry.
Golden Rind’s current hours are:
